lyrics

Screamed my cracking voice
Until those thoughts were out of my head
At last a soft coat of white to
Preserve another sagging ship wreck
The thrill of the proverbial spill
But I feel like I threw away the clock
Endless was my distended belly
Until I traded one for the other
For a second I let my guard down
And sold out just as fast
I’ll draw it out even further
Until I think it won’t fade
But the feeling is fleeting
I’d feel the chills running through my organs
Then leading me astray
Forcing me to do things I wouldn’t do
Under any pre-prescribed state
Sometimes I think I put too much thought
Into something so short-lived
But the condensed pressure deep inside my chest
I can’t ignore this urge
